So I don't really agree with sects as it spreads and thins out the Ummah more but the more Islam spreads the more lies are going to come into the religion making more and more sects, (I'm not saying shia or other sects are liars) But my beliefs line up more with the mainstream Sunni beliefs.
Ok now that thats all out the way i was watching some muslims from different sects debate each other you know the guys Ali dawah, Muhammad Hijab the bigger Muslim debaters and a shia brother was mentioning how they believe that the Imams had power given to them and when he started listing these powers i was thinking "do your Imams line up with Allah???" Like i don't get it is this just a minor shia view or do they truly believe that Imams people who weren't even chosen by god as their not messengers of allah have special powers.
