Hello Brothers and Sisters,
I am a university student trying to get back into Islam. Trying to get back into praying 5 times a day.
My question is this: I was brought up praying Witr like Magbrib but with Dua Qunoot in the final rakat after reciting Surah Fitiha and then another surah.
However, I have recently learned that the Prophet (SAW) has said that this is incorrect and shouldn't be recited like Maghrib prayer.
Instead, to pray a 3 rakat Witr there are two ways.
1) Two Rakats first followed by a 1 Rakat. (anyone explain how exactly this works - where to pray Dua Qunoot?) 2) Pray 3 rakats but don't do tahajud after the second. Once again, not sure the exact steps in this case. I am told that you shouldn't do another takbeer after the second (something that I was taught)?
Any help will be greatly appreciated?
