Question regarding this video claiming for the Qur'an to be altered. Two things in it bother me and I'm hoping for some clarification on the matter

This randomly popped up on my feed, and out of boredom I decided to look at this 20 minute video by James White claiming that the Qur'an is not the preserved word of God, as most Muslims believe it to be.

Now for the most part, I found the video to be misleading (who knows whether due to malice or ignorance) and playing on misinterpretation of certain statements. I'm ok with most of the video but two things in it do bother me

1.) The hadiths in Bukhari 509, which says (from here, clue if its a reliable source, but it matches what he said in the video):

...So I started looking for the Qur'an and collecting it from (what was written on) palmed stalks, thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart, till I found the last Verse of Surat At-Tauba (Repentance) with Abi Khuzaima Al-Ansari, and I did not find it with anybody other than him.

Now I find that quite troubling...it implies that he found the last verse with only one man. You can argue that he found only one written copy, but that's a generous interpretation...especially in the manner that sentence is said.

Does anyone have any thoughts/comments on this?

2.) What about the copy of 'Ibn Masud, why was his text ignored, omitted, whatever....and more pertinently why was his copy different?

This is the first time, I've come across this topic, so fogrive me if this is a common query and one that has been discussed often.
