As-salaam Alaikum everyone. I don't speak, write or understand Arabic and I have a very hard time reading the Quran in Arabic. Whenever I think about learning to read Quran in Arabic I just lose interest because Arabic has never been easy for me. My question is, what if I decide to not read the Quran in Arabic and just read the Translation? Will I be sinful for this? I know reading in Arabic has a greater reward but I'm sure English has its reward too right?
I don't know if I will ever be able to read the whole Quran in Arabic in my lifetime but I don't want to waste time on just delaying to read the Quran. Every time I feel like reading the Quran, I either just read the same Surah's again and again which I have memorized or just don't read at all.
I know everyone will be commenting that you should try to read in Arabic but I know all that. My question is the same as above. What if I decide to not read the Quran in Arabic and just read the Translation and if I die, will I be punished by Allah for ignoring the Arabic part and just reading the translation in English.
