Apostasy.

Salam Aleykum

From my understanding, Islamic law dictates that apostates should be put to death.

  • Does this mean, that one who decides Islam isnt for him, even though they only intend to leave their religion, and not attack people/cause trouble, should be put to death? If not, were all of the schools of Islamic wrong, and why were they wrong?

  • If the answer is yes, what reason would Western countries have to accept Muslims? The goal of every Muslim scholar is obviously to convert as many people as possible. Why should Western countries, bring in a group of people who are at opposite ends of ideals, and trust that if those people gained the majority position, they would not enact laws that would remove the very root of what that country stands for?

  • How can you blame the French, for denying a woman who would not shake someones hand, when it is very clear that this same woman would be supportive of apostasy laws? If their society does not want that, then why are they being blamed for it?

In this video, Yasir Qadhi states that we as American Muslims do not need to answer such claims.

I don't see why not.

If America was to have a sizable number of Muslims in the future, and Muslims do indeed support apostasy, which the country 100% disagrees with, at what point could you blame American's for wanting Muslims kicked out of their country if Muslims would support those kinds of laws being put in place?
