I recently met someone.
That someone holds a belief that, when given a choice of learning Islam from a source that may include an innovation vs learn nothing and sin as result of this, that person would prefer the latter.
This topic is especially important for me as I deal with Deaf Muslims on a regular basis. They often only have a choice of learning Islam from somebody who is not a scholar or learning absolutely nothing at all lest they fall into the trap of innovation as consequence of learning from the unlearned.
I'm curious as to what do you guys think?
I am aware there is no unified Islam position on this area, so I don't think it's necessary to argue what is right and what is wrong.
