I'm 19 hes 13. I have very crappy parents (my parents are also divorced) and they have been neglecting my younger brother.
My dad let's my younger brother play as much as he wants (my dad doesn't want to lose custody)
What should I do? My brother also skips most of his prayers. He spends HOURS everyday playing fortnite. He wakes up early on the weekends and on Friday to play. He's getting very antisocial
He doesn't come to the mosque with me and he isnt interested in anything other than fortnite.
He's very addicted and he's becoming isolated. A couple days ago I took his controller and he got very angry. He took my car keys. He also assaulted me. He wouldn't give me my car keys until I gave him the controller. So I waited an hour and then gave him the controller back. He started playing the game again for hours.
What should I do? I want to go take the controller again. In Islam, aren't we supposed to enjoin good and forbid evil? He's addicted to this game. Shaitan has tricked him.
Ive also been talking to him and he says he wants to fast this Ramadan. But currently he doesn't even pray. He also said he wants to play fortnite during Ramadan (he will be on summer break). Like wtf? This kid is so deluded. What's the point in fasting if you dont pray and you play video games all day?
He also has very low Islamic knowledge and he goes to american public school.
Also my parents dont force him to pray. He also doesn't attend jummah cause of school. Like what am I supposed to do? He's been very corrupted by american public schools and video games. Can I force him to pray? I was thinking about taking away his controller for a week and giving him a book to read.
