I tried to look for some ahadith showing where The Prophet salAllahu 'alayhi wasalam did this, or the sahaba did this. Lots of people at my local masjid push their earlobes forward with their thumbs when they do the opening takbir of a salah. Some of them do another thing where they have the palms facing their cheeks instead of facing the qibla. Some people also do this weird jerk motion where they kind of throw their hands forward after the takbir, and then slowly place them on their chest. I couldn't find any hadiths relating to this stuff.
But at the same time, I couldn't find any hadith that states the palms should be facing forward during the takbir, either. So now I'm really confused.
Can anyone shed light on this situation?
