I did it, after 10 months of laziness, procrastination and not enough hard work, Allah gave me the Taufeeq to memorize Surah Baqarah.
The point of this post is not to show off. I am a regular on this sub and have created this new profile just for this post.
I am that kind of person who forgets keys of the house hanging in the keyhole, bike keys in the bike, forget that I have a flight in a few hours. In short, I don't have a great memory.
On top of that on an average I might have just spent 5-10 minutes daily. But I was consistent, I would pick up the Qur'an and read it daily even if it were just for 2 minutes. Its amazing what one can achieve through consistency.
Take up good deeds only as much as you are able, for the best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few.” Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah 4240
Brothers and Sisters, If you are planning to start memorizing the Qur'an don't wait for some divine sign or any auspicious day. Start now and be consistent. 1 year down the line, InShaAllah, you will be amazed at how much you have achieved.
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ (And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?)
