If a person has a habit of lying and by doing this his aim is just to protect himself, although it can cause harm to others. He just wants to satisfy others by lying because he thinks telling the truth will cause harm to him and others in the short run. But it can have negative consequences in the long run for the other person. Is it permissible to lie in this kind of way? If not then why?
