Ammar From Yes Theory disowned by his father for pursuing his dream.

Hey r/Islam,

If you don't know who Yes Theory is, you've been missing out. It's a group of four friends who live life with a special philosophy: Seek Discomfort. They believe that the times when we emotionally grow the most is when we are outside of our comfort zone, and they have a mission to spread this message throughout the world through YouTube videos. They're all incredibly inspiring people.

But recently they had a bit of bad news. Ammar, one of the main four, is a Muslim from Egypt and the night before his 24th birthday, his father gave him an ultimatum: Leave Yes Theory or you're not longer my son. He says that Ammar's mission is evil and perverted, and what he has done has hurt his family and culture. Ammar had to make a difficult decision between his family and a message he believes in.

Here is the video: https://youtu.be/hIGc4hJhh_0

I think it's important people see this, especially here. The value of family is treated above all else in Islamic culture, and people are often put in a position where they have to choose between a family that is dragging them down, and a message and career that they believe in. Go send Ammar some love, and let's have a discussion here about this issue, I believe it's a valuable one.
