Hello, in very short I am an Israeli Jew and I work at a big office building in Tel Aviv. The person that comes to clean the office every day is a very sweet old Arab lady from a village over the border, I don't know which one. Her Hebrew is super bad and my Arabic is non-existent but we're always nice to each other, exchange a few words, good morning, good weekend, that kind of thing. Based on our age difference she could be my grandma so I always had a lot of respect for her but I grew to like her a bit.
Now that Ramadan is coming I was thinking of buying her a small present. I know extremely little about Ramadan, so I though of coming here for help. What would be a respectful and nice gift in this situation?
