Hadith of the Day: "My mercy prevails over my wrath"

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا قَضَى اللَّهُ الْخَلْقَ كَتَبَ فِي كِتَابِهِ فَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ فَوْقَ الْعَرْشِ إِنَّ رَحْمَتِي غَلَبَتْ غَضَبِي

Narrated Abu Hurairah:

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “When Allāh completed the creation, he wrote in his book with him upon the throne: Verily, my mercy prevails over my wrath.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3022, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2751
