[question/help] how does opinions works in islam?

assalamualaikum

my english is not that good so i hope you guys would understand what i'm talking about.

soo straight to the point. there's something i don't understand about why are there so many opinions on some rulings in islam and how does it work.

like for example, there are some people that thinks that having your cat's fur on your clothes invalidate your salah because it's najis, and there are other people that thinks that it's not najis.

so this means that this group of people (the "cat's fur is najis" one) thinks that there are some people whose salah is never accepted because they think that cat's fur is not clean, right?

like if there are two friend who follow different mazhabs, and one of them happened to have a cat at home and thinks that it's fur is not najis, does that mean the other friend have to respect his friend's opinion while secretly knowing that his friend's salah is not valid because cat's fur is najis?

this has been bothering me for a past few months, i haven't asked anyone about this because i thought i'm the only one who make this such a trouble.

i really do hope you guys understand what i was going for :)

thanks!
