Just because dating isn't halal doesn't mean we as Muslims don't experience the same emotional difficulties with love that others do.
In addition, even though it might not be halal, many Muslims DO date, and they practice dating in different ways. Some Muslims have trouble in marriage, and there are limited online outlets.
Most online advice on love cites hadiths or ayats that are directly relevant, saying to fast, to lower one's gaze, to get married early, etc. While that's not bad advice, it certainly misses the human and social aspect of love. This could involve struggling with the self confidence to speak to a man/woman one is intested in and/or his/her family. Or it could involve struggling emotionally when feelings are not reciprocated.
It really seems most online help regarding this caters to Muslims who are comfortable not following sunnah at all, who can just use western dating advice, and Muslims who have everything figured out socio-emotionally, and just need to know the technical rules. Finding anything more than that is very difficult (unless I'm missing some obvious site).
